pitas
here's how
to get back
in time, to the older stuff.
Oh. My. God.
This. is. SO. COOL.
Jaboom.com just opened up and it SO kicks ass. You rate songs and get points for up to fifty songs per day, and you make Amazon.com or CDNow certificates with those points. Just a thousand points (approximately fifty songs) gets you $12 in certs, and you can make that in a DAY. I've been there for two days and have already advanced two levels AND made about $30 in certificates. In TWO DAYS. AND it's open to everyone, US Resident or NOT. Use the link above and I'll kiss you. You get an extra fifty points and so do I.

Opulence Mail Art Gallery
A link for louise, to whom I'm sorely behind in my email correspondence, much less my mail art. Sheesh.
Go look, Louise! It's really, really, cool!!!

WEB STUFF | COMPANIES
I can't help it that I'm a domain collector. It's a curse. BlueGenesis will register your domain for $15 (!!!!) and give you an ungodly amount of space. I have it on good authority that iHost is a teriffic deal for hosting, with a lot of perks that you can't get at Dreamhost, which actually just stopped giving the dime a click that made it a decent place to stay. Virtual Avenue is a free hosting site if you have your own domain and are on a stringent budget, but only gives you 20 MB of space, which kinda bites.
Want a domain that doesn't end in .com? Try A .cx domain, for about $30 american dollars, or a .nu domain for $25 or so. They're all chic and stuff right now -- of course, it's almost cheaper for a .com these days, now that we're deregulated.
With all the love virus stuff going around, this is a good place to keep bookmarked. It's the hoax warning center.

TRAVEL LINKS
I get great pleasure from planning things. Even if I don't do them, I've planned 'em. It's fodder for the imagination.
When I actually -do- go somewhere, it's usually with the assistance of one of these:
With a name like Cheaptickets.com, how could you go wrong?
Concierge.com isn't just tickets -- it's maps and advice and bargains and interactive features. Gotta love that.
In case you're ever in San Diego -- here's a list of radio stations that are local by format and call letters.
We're heading up into the mountains in June to go see this, the California Wolf Center, which rescues wolves and puts them in this little wolf jail for people to see them. (Actually, it's for conservation's sake -- people still shoot them, so it's more like protective custody.)
My favorite place in San Diego? The San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park. Mrrrrowr.

EBAY SELLERS
This is going to be of absolutely no use to anyone other than me. I'll tell you that now.
What it is is a list of sellers on Ebay that sell the kind of stuff that I use in collage. And if you start bidding against me, I'll come to your house and kick you in the shins. So there.
Grapanthr: mainly old currency
fools4stuff: varied paper ephemera
curiosa99: passports and vintage ephemera.
Paperamericana: letters and journals and paper stuff, oh, my.
So there you have it -- what *I* do on my Saturday nights. I'm so boring. :)

I am a wage whore:
Bella Online
I'm a host and a corporate slut here.
Free Ride is how I pay for my burgeoning book addiction. Well, okay. Continuing book addiction. In two weeks, I've amassed $40 US for it, no less. If you sign up and use "peonyblue" as your referrer, I'll kiss your toes. But only after washing.
